Today is World Environment Day. The perfect day to share part 3 of my personal journey to a “low waste’ life. These are the changes that I have personally made. I completely understand that not every option is available to everyone. But even if you can only make a few of these changes, you can make a difference. Here is a “portrait” of one of my friends, who is a real “more is more’ type of girl: very colorful, with big hair, a big heart and big personality! She like bold prints, bright colors, polka dots and vintage elements. As you can hopefully see, I had a lot of fun drawing her style.🌼 This illustration was so popular on Instragam that I also turned it into a postcard.

Today is Eat What You Want Day, and for me that looks something like this. These are some of my favorite foods that I could eat every day, and probably would if it wasn’t so unhealthy to do so. But this day was created to, for 1 day, just forget a little bit about being healthy all the time and treat yourself, even if your favorite foods aren’t the healthiest.

Happy King’s Day!

Nederland Mangomini low

Happy King’s day! Today we Dutchies celebrate our King’s birthday. That means: celebrating all day, preferably outside, and everything (including ourselves) in orange!
This is my “Nederland” postcard, with typical Dutch things on it. We may be a small country but there’s still a lot to love here and it’s usually very ‘gezellig’, especially on a day like today!

For my non-Dutch followers, some of the typical Dutch foods on here are (from top to bottom): hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles to eat on your bread, usually for breakfast), stroopwafel (waffle filled with caramel syrup), patatje met (French fries with mayonnaise), tompoes (a very sweet pastry) and drop (salty liquorice).

Happy National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day!

Today is National Pajamas To Work Day, which for me is really just a regular work day.  Because I work mostly from home, wearing pajames to work is never a problem 😉 In this illustration you can see some of the things that can usually be found in my work space. While working I like to listen to music or podcasts, although sometimes I like silence too. My favorite podcasts at the moment are Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, By The Book and Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness.
