World Mental Health Day

Today is World Mental Health Day, always super important, but even more so in this crazy year. These are some of the things that are part of my mental health/self care routine. It’s something that I, like so many others, always have to be aware of, especially during the autumn months. Know that there is help available and ask for it, if you need it. Take Care.β πŸ’šπŸ’š

Super Easy Zero Waste Swaps #2

Simple zero waste swap Number 2: Carry your own zero waste kit with you.
I usually have mine in a little separate bag in my backpack or bag. I have a cloth napkin and handkerchief in there, a reusable straw & spork, Γ‘nd a tiny fork because I love to get French fries. 🍟The coffee cup and stirrer I only take when I plan to get coffee, because I’m not really a big coffee drinker.
I do often get some very surprised looks (and laughs) when I take my own napkin or straw out of my bag. But I don’t mind and when I explain why I do it, usually people agree that it actually makes a lot of sense.
This is just one of the many small things you can do to start reducing your waste. If everyone tries a little bit, together we can accomplish a lot! β πŸ’š

Super Easy Zero Waste Swaps #1

Going completely zero waste can be challenging, but there are so many little things that can already make a difference. Inspired by #plasticfreejuly, I’m going to be sharing some super simple zero (or low) waste swaps on here. Like choosing an ice cream cone over a cup. It saves a single use cup and a (plastic) spoon. Extra points for bringing your own cloth napkin! Come on, you can do this! β πŸ’šπŸ¦

Celebrate Whatever!

Happy Today! I often use special days or fun holidays as inspiration for my drawings, but you really don’t need a special day or achievement to celebrate. At the moment even ordinary things can feel like a real challenge, like putting on pants or going to the supermarket. So today, be kind to yourself and celebrate the small things. It’s a day and you’re still awesome! (Even if it sometimes doesn’t feel like that.)

Eat What You Want Day

If you’re looking for a reason to celebrate today and treat yourself food wise, I’m happy to let you know that today is ‘Eat What You Want Day’! πŸ˜ƒ For me that looks something like this. These are some of my absolute favorite foods and snacks. I could eat (and drink) these every day, and probably would, if it wasn’t so unhealthy to do so. What are your favorite (guilty pleasure) foods?⁣ And do you have any quarantine-cravings? πŸ˜‹πŸ«πŸ•

Hello Spring! (From Home)

2020 spring plan stay home Mangomini insta

Happy first day of spring! (On the Northern Hemisphere that is.) I guess this spring will be a little bit different, because we will have to spend it, at least partly, at home.Β  But I actually had to make only a few changes to this
Spring Inspiration postcard. It turns out most of these things can be done from home. So, stay home, stay safe and try to enjoy spring even in these unfortunate circumstances.

PS. My Etsy shop is still open as usual at the moment and your support is truly appreciated!

Autumn Survival

Turns out I like the idea of autumn more than the actual experience of it. In reality, most autumns I struggle. As soon as it’s January, and the days start getting longer, I start to feel better.
These are some of the things that I try to do that help me feel better. Maybe you’ll find them useful too xx
