Cindy Mangomini is an illustrator and accidental blogger who grew up and still lives in Maastricht, in the south of the Netherlands. She’s been drawing for as long as she can remember.

She went to art school where she studied illustrative design, focusing on children’s book illustrations and interning with Philip Hopman and Joke van Leeuwen.

After graduating she started working in fashion. First as a visual merchandiser and later opening up her own boutique. But she decided that selling clothes was not her thing, she liked drawing them much more. During her time as a shop owner she started her Mangomini blog where she posted drawings of what she wore.

These days she still likes to draw pictures of what she wore, but mostly works freelance for a variety of clients. She’s also a regular contributor at Hello Giggles (the popular website for girls, founded by Zooey Deschanel) and Sparknotes.

When she is not drawing things she likes to spend her time eating chocolate, reapplying lip balm, collecting nice pictures and music, drinking wine with friends and over-thinking everything.

“Mangomini” is a nickname that got out of hand and is now unstoppable.

She does not normally refer to herself in the third person.
