Perks of Social Distancing

Trying to look for the positive sides of social distancing (besides saving lives!) and being stuck at home for another weekend.
Stay positive, stay safe and stay home. 💚🏠

What I’m Hoarding!

Yes, I’m also guilty of ‘hoarding’, but only chocolate and rosé wine. Am I doing it wrong? 😬
But seriously, don’t hoard! I only took 1 or 2 extra than I normally would, I swear.✌🏻😇
Stay safe. Stay positive. Stay home! 💚

Stay Positive Drink Tea! (Limited Edition Digital Download)

We find ourselves in strange and scary times. That’s why I’m sending you some positive vibes with this “Stay Positive, Drink Tea” print.

I’m offering this on Etsy as a limited edition digital downloadable file (which I normally don’t do) because, like many others, my own situation has changed as a result of recent events. Almost all of the shops that sell my products are closed at the moment. Which means a big loss of income for me. That’s why I’ve decided to temporarily offer this digitally.  It’s a super fast and easy way for you to have this image in your house ánd you’re supporting me and my work at the same time. A win win situation, if you ask me. Only 25 available, so don’t wait too long. Your support will be greatly appreciated!

Hello Spring! (From Home)

2020 spring plan stay home Mangomini insta

Illustrated Spring Plan (Lockdown Style)

Happy first day of spring! (On the Northern Hemisphere that is.) I guess this spring will be a little bit different, because we will have to spend it, at least partly, at home.  But I actually had to make only a few changes to this
Spring Inspiration postcard. It turns out most of the things on this illustration can be done from home. So, stay home, stay safe and try to enjoy spring even in these unfortunate circumstances.

PS. My Etsy shop is still open as usual at the moment and your support is truly appreciated!

Spring Mood, From Home.

In the Mood for Spring! Illustrated Spring Inspiration.

This illustration sums up my spring mood (from home). I’m very much looking forward to spring and hope we’ll be able to spend it, at least partly, safely outside and together again. 💚🌱 As you can see I like to look for spring fashion inspiration on Pinterest. You’re welcome to follow me there too!

Support Small & Local

Here are some ways to support your favorite (local) small businesses, so that they’ll still be around by the time everything goes back to “normal”.
See if you can order online, if they deliver or have a take-out option. You can also buy a gift card to spend later.  Let them know that you care! 💚

Artists like me are also small business owners and we need your support as well. Selling my cards in shops is one of my main sources of income. Since most shops are now closed, that means no new card orders. Luckily my Etsy shop is still open as usual and one of the easiest way to support me right now is to place a small (or big!) order. I’ve also installed a donations button on my home page.

Also, if you want to share an artist’s work online: always clearly credit and never edit, and if you’re a company: ask permission first. Thank you! Stay healthy and take care!

Take Care! (Corona Virus Update)

2020 Take Care Corona Update Mangomini

Self Care Plan During Covid, In Drawings.

Self-care in times of Corona virus. This is an updated version of my autumn/winter self-care card, because the virus is forcing us to do certain things a little bit differently. (I’ve never washed my hands so often and also realised that I love touching my face!) This week I’ve been feeling quite worried and sad but I’m going to take my own illustrated advice and use the extra time inside for some quality ‘me-time’.
Take care! ♥♥♥♥

PS. If you find this self care drawing useful, take a look at my mental health plan version. I also have that one available on a postcard on Etsy.

Plant A Flower Day

Happy Plant A Flower Day! The perfect day to plant some flowers as you wait for the start of spring. If you choose a bee-friendly seed mix, you will not only have colourful flowers to enjoy, but you will also help save the bees! I already planted mine. 🙂

Basic Houseplant Care, In Drawings.

Plant Lady Skills, An Illustrated Guide.

As you might have noticed in my illustrations, I’m becoming more and more of a plant lady! Because the number of plants that I own has grown so much, I needed to improve my “keeping-my-plants-alive” skills. I’ve learned a lot from watching videos on YouTube. I’m still not an expert by far, but I did sum up the basics of houseplant care in this drawing. I hope you find it useful.

In case you’re interested: my two favorite places for plant advise are Mama Botanica and Planterina. I’ve learned so much from them. For example: I had no idea I had to clean my plants! I also loved the tip about turning your plants a little bit (if possible) when you water them, to keep them growing nice and full.
