Happy Plant A Flower Day!

Flower Power Drawer ๐Ÿ˜‰

Maybe you’ve noticed that I’m drawing more and more plants and flowers. It’s because I’ve turned into to a real plant lady ๐Ÿ˜‰. I have soooo many plants now and I’m constantly propagating more. And since my illustrations reflect my interests, it shows in my work.

Today happens to be Plant A Flower Day, and it’s the perfect day to plant some (more) flowers as we wait for spring to start.ย  I always choose a bee-friendly seed mix, because it means I will not only have colourful flowers to enjoy, but I’m also helping to save the bees! What will you be planting?

Happy King’s Day!

2018 Kings Day Mangomini

Happy King’s day! Today we Dutchies celebrate our King’s birthday. That means: celebrating all day, preferably outside, and everything (including yourself) in orange!

For my non-Dutch followers, some of the typical Dutch foods in here are (from top to bottom):ย  tompoes (a very sweet pastry, with an orange layer especially for King’s Day), drop (salty liquorice), stroopwafel (waffle filled with caramel syrup) and hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles to eat on your bread, usually for breakfast).
