Outside Is Better!

2021 Adventure Outdoor Girl Mangomini

Micro Adventures Are Everywhere!

As you may have noticed, I’ve not been very active on social media lately. I’ve been busy with other stuff and wanted to enjoy my free time outside to have a few micro hiking adventures.

This drawing is part of a new series of outdoor adventure themed cards. Coming soon to my Etsy shop. If you like this you can also follow me on Instagram and Pinterest for regular updates.

Dutch Staycation Time!

Pieterpad Hiking Trail Forced Staycation

I’m off on a small break. Not to Norway as planned, but a few days of hiking on the Dutch long distance Pieterpad-trail. But first a day of water-sport-fun. Making the most of this forced staycation 😉

I’m keeping my Esty shop open, but won’t start shipping again until Monday. See you later!

Happy King’s Day!

2018 Kings Day Mangomini

Happy King’s day! Today we Dutchies celebrate our King’s birthday. That means: celebrating all day, preferably outside, and everything (including yourself) in orange!

For my non-Dutch followers, some of the typical Dutch foods in here are (from top to bottom):  tompoes (a very sweet pastry, with an orange layer especially for King’s Day), drop (salty liquorice), stroopwafel (waffle filled with caramel syrup) and hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles to eat on your bread, usually for breakfast).

The book is: The Cather in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

Orange baby!

2016-september2-cindy-mangomini

September so far: sunshine,  some orange in my Dutch wardrobe, The Lumineers’ Cleopatra on repeat and finally reading The Catcher in the Rye.
