Support Small & Local

Here are some ways to support your favorite (local) small businesses, so that they’ll still be around by the time everything goes back to “normal”.
See if you can order online, if they deliver or have a take-out option. You can also buy a gift card to spend later.  Let them know that you care! 💚

Artists like me are also small business owners and we need your support as well. Selling my cards in shops is one of my main sources of income. Since most shops are now closed, that means no new card orders. Luckily my Etsy shop is still open as usual and one of the easiest way to support me right now is to place a small (or big!) order. I’ve also installed a donations button on my home page.

Also, if you want to share an artist’s work online: always clearly credit and never edit, and if you’re a company: ask permission first. Thank you! Stay healthy and take care!

Take Care, Corona Virus Update

Self-care in times of Corona virus. This is an updated version of my autumn/winter self-care card, because the virus is forcing us to do certain things a little bit differently. (I’ve never washed my hands so often and also realised that I love touching my face!) This week I’ve been feeling quite worried and sad but I’m going to take my own illustrated advice and use the extra time inside for some quality ‘me-time’.
Take care! ♥♥♥♥

Plant Lady Skills

Since I’m becoming more and more of a plant lady, I’ve been trying to  improve my “keeping-my-plants-alive” skills. My two favorite places for plant tips are Mama Botanica and Planterina. I’ve learned a lot about plant care from watching their videos on YouTube. For example: I had no idea I had to clean my plants! I also loved the tip about turning your plants a little bit (if possible) when you water them, to keep them growing nice and full.
I’m still not an expert by far, but I did put my basic plant care skills into this drawing. Other houseplant tips are welcome of course!

Bonjour!

Bonjour and happy Friday! I hope you are having a good day and a great weekend ahead. This is an updated version of my Bonjour postcard, that will be available in my shop soon.

All The Small Things

Sometimes it’s the small things that make everyday life a little happier. Here are some of the little things that are making me happy this winter!

Green tea, Xenos – Tinted lip balm, Catrice – Frida key chain, Sass & Belle  – Wooden wall hook, H&M Home – Karma solid shampoo, LUSH – Underwear, Hunkemöller – Hoop earrings, & Other Stories – Washcloth, HEMA.

Take Care in 2020!

Take good care in 2020, of yourself and of those around you. Wishing everyone all the best for the new year ♥

I have this self care reminder card available on Etsy. It’s not so easy to always get all of the things on there right, I know this very well myself. But hopefully it can inspire you in some way, even if it’s just to do one good thing for yourself today. For me, it’s listening to Ben Howard on “eternal-shuffle-mode” at the moment.

The end of December is a great time to look back at the past year. These are some of the things that I enjoyed most in 2019. I hope you enjoy taking a look at them too! 😉

PS. The bag is from Booming Bags. It’s handmade, Fair Trade and made from leftover materials.
