Today is the first day of winter (if you’re in the Northern hemisphere like me). Soon the days will start to get longer again, but until then I love candles and the pretty Christmas lights everywhere. I also love game nights with mulled wine, staying in and keeping warm with a hot water bottle, drinking tea and reading a book or having a Netflix night. I will try to go outside a lot to go ice skating for example, or have a nice winter walk, preferably in a snow covered landscape (followed by more mulled wine of course 😉 )
What are some of the things that you love about winter?
Today is World Hello Day and I though this would be a good day for me to say hello, and tell you a little bit about myself for those of you who are new here. In the form of an illustration, of course 😉
PS. The book you see is The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho, one of my all time favourites.
Here is another friend “portrait”. This time it’s my good friend Nadine, who is a real “more is more’ type of girl: very colorful, with big hair, a big heart and big personality! So of course, I had to draw her style.🌼

Thanks to everyone who follows me here! I noticed quite a lot of new follower as well, thank you so much for that! Here is a little bit about me, in a drawing of course. An updated version of an earlier #meetthemaker illustration that I did. Hope you like it!
PS. I still have 20% discount on everything in my Etsy shop. Sale ends tomorrow.
PS2. The book you see is The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho, one of my all time favourites.
A quick sketch of some of my favourite things right now. I’m trying to shop less but better. So less impulse buys and more things that I can enjoy for a long time. I’m also looking forward to 2 more Ben Howard concerts. Money spend on experiences is always money well spend, especially if it’s Ben Howard (in my opinion anyway!). While working from home I like to listen to podcasts to keep me company and informed. I recently discovered By the bookand I’ve been binge-listening ever since.
PS. Nothing on here is sponsored, just things that I really like.
