What I Wore, Then & Now, Part 2.

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now. Part 2.

I thought it would be fun to take and older What I Wore drawing, and update it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. (They were  favorites then for a reason.)

So above is the updated version of the illustration for the May page on my birthday calendar. I replaced the white embroidered top with a black embroidered blouse. I mostly wear black tops now, because I think it looks better with my chestnut hair (almost ginger really). The sunglasses broke, so I replaces them. Everything else I still use and wear, including one of my favorite vintage straw bags that I love for picnics. The clogs I actually never owned but still love and would like to wear.😉⁠

Random Things That I’m Loving This Spring.

These are a few of my current favorite little things that I’m really loving at the moment ánd felt like drawing. Some of them are long-time favorites, like the Conan podcast and my cute Frida Kahlo keychain, while others are recent discoveries like the Wondr shampoo bar and Rose Hip Oil from Olefació.

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now.

I thought it would be fun to take and older What I Wore drawing, and update it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. (They weren’t favorites then for no reason.)

So above is the updated version of the illustration for the April page on my birthday calendar. I replaced the stripes with an all black top (I’m over my stripey faze) and switched to a more practical backpack. I own many nice bags, but I almost never use them anymore because my backpack is just so much more comfortable and practical. I still love the denim skirt and my Converse All Stars.

Little Things You Can Do To Spread Positivity.

Yesterday was Rand Act of Kindness Day and this motivated me to think about little acts of kindness that I could do myself. Just small things that are easy to do, and often free, that can really brighten up somebody’s day. This also applies to little things you can do for yourself.

Little things that I like at the moment, and felt like drawing. Most of this I own, a few are still on my wish-list. In case you’re wondering: the candle holders, candles and pomegranate green tea are from Sostrene Grene. Refill shea conditioner from The Body Shop, Good Karma shower gel from LUSH. On my wishlist: brown Dr. Martens boots and Le Creuset Dutch oven.

Loving: I’m in love with this pretty geranium that one of my friends gave me. It has such pretty colors ♥ ⁠
Hating: I’m being eaten alive by mosquitos at the moment. They love me. I hate them. They are winning.⁠

Random Things That I’m Loving This June.

Sometimes it’s the small things that make everyday life a little happier. This is an illustration of random things that I like at the moment and felt like drawing.🖌️ The Teva sandals and C&A bikini top are made with recycled materials and that makes me love them even more.⁠💚 The Polka dot crop top is from H&M. I don’t own the fashion items in this drawing. I just find them pretty and enjoyed drawing them.

2021 04 April favorite things Mangomini

Things I Enjoyed Most In April, In Drawings.

Since it’s already the last day of April, it’s a good time for a look at some of my favorite things this month, in illustrated form of course.  I did a lot of hiking & picnicking, had a sunny kayak adventure and added lots of new little plants to my growing collection. This whole outfit is from Monki. The pants took such a long time to draw, but I do love them so it had to be done 😉 I also love that the t-shirt and tote bag are made from organic cotton and the packaging was completely plastic-free.  

Other things that I still loved this month, but already included in my March favorites, are Ben Howard’s new album and live stream concert and cold water swimming.
