World Mental Health Day

Today is World Mental Health Day, always super important, but even more so in this crazy year. These are some of the things that are part of my mental health/self care routine. It’s something that I, like so many others, always have to be aware of, especially during the autumn months. Know that there is help available and ask for it, if you need it. Take Care.β πŸ’šπŸ’š

Happy International Self Care Day!

Happy International Self Care Day! Self care has always been important, but this year I think we all can use some extra time to focus on things that make us feel more relaxed and happy. These are some of the things that are helpful to me. What do you like to do to give yourself some extra care?

Celebrate Whatever!

Happy Today! I often use special days or fun holidays as inspiration for my drawings, but you really don’t need a special day or achievement to celebrate. At the moment even ordinary things can feel like a real challenge, like putting on pants or going to the supermarket. So today, be kind to yourself and celebrate the small things. It’s a day and you’re still awesome! (Even if it sometimes doesn’t feel like that.)

Netflix and… Quarantine!

Another weekend stuck at home. I updated this one again with only things that are actually my quarantine favorites. Like playing online Scrabble, eating home made brownies for breakfast (sometimes!), too much pizza, plant babies everywhere and, of course, rosΓ© wine. I hope you’re having a good weekend and staying safe! β πŸ’š

Quarantine Casual

2020 04 Quarantine casual Mangomini

At the end of every month I usually make an illustrated recap. This is March. I call it “quarantine casual”. As you can see I’ve been taking care of myself and keeping busy, but I also take time to relax and treat myself regularly. Full disclosure: in reality the tops on here are black. Stay safe! πŸ’š

Support Small & Local

Here are some ways to support your favorite (local) small businesses, so that they’ll still be around by the time everything goes back to “normal”.
See if you can order online, if they deliver or have a take-out option. You can also buy a gift card to spend later.Β  Let them know that you care! πŸ’š

Artists like me are also small business owners and we need your support as well. Selling my cards in shops is one of my main sources of income. Since most shops are now closed, that means no new card orders. Luckily my Etsy shop is still open as usual and one of the easiest way to support me right now is to place a small (or big!) order. I’ve also installed a donations button on my home page.

Also, if you want to share an artist’s work online: always clearly credit and never edit, and if you’re a company: ask permission first. Thank you! Stay healthy and take care!
