Celebrate Little Things, In Drawings.

Celebrate Whatever You Can!

The Holidays are over but there’s no reason to stop celebrating small things. It’s been a tough year and we should be kind to ourselves. You survived 2020: well done! Put on pants today? That’s awesome! Checked in on a friend? You deserve extra karma points for that! Feel like you didn’t do anything worth celebrating today? Remember you are still awesome and it’s okay and normal to feel bad sometimes! 💚 Hopefully this drawing can serve as a little positive reminder. It was one of my best nine for 2020 on Instagram, and I updated it a little bit for 2021.

Celebrate Whatever!

Happy Today! I often use special days or fun holidays as inspiration for my drawings, but you really don’t need a special day or achievement to celebrate. At the moment even ordinary things can feel like a real challenge, like putting on pants or going to the supermarket. So today, be kind to yourself and celebrate the small things. It’s a day and you’re still awesome! (Even if it sometimes doesn’t feel like that.)

Happy Chocolate Ice Cream Day!

Happy Chocolate Ice Cream Day! I will definitely be celebrating this tonight! 😉

Celebrate Every Win, No Matter How Small

Happy Today! I often use special days or fun holidays as inspiration for my drawings, but you really don’t need a special day to celebrate. Find something to celebrate everyday, especially on Mondays, because they can be a little tough 😉 So, happy Monday! .. and let’s celebrate whatever!⁣

It’s in the bag!

For Sparknotes.com I recently illustrated what I imagined seven famous fictional characters might keep in their bags. Can you guess which characters these three bags belong to? (To see all seven, just click here)

I have been so busy that I totally forgot to post last week’s illustration for Hello Giggles! You can read the complete post and see where-to-buy links for some of the items I drew, here.

Dreaming of Summer

2016 Dreaming of summer - Cindy Mangomini

I’m longing for summer and this is what I want to be wearing to a lovely picnic in the park. But, no such luck with the Dutch spring. It’s more wool sweaters, extra socks and staying inside to escape the rain, wind and even snow! Luckily, I can always draw a sunny scene!

Sneak peek!

2016 April - Cindy Mangomini

One of the things I’m working on at the moment is a birthday calender. Here’s a little sneak peek at what will be the illustration for April.

March, so far: cold & wet.

2016 march - Cindy Mangomini

March has been very cold and very wet so far, but I’m trying to enjoy it anyway. Tea and chocolate (home made brownies, yummie!) always help, and a little alcohol also doesn’t hurt 😉

Wearing: cardigan, vintage – top, Newyorker -nailpolish, Catrise – denim dress, H&M – shoes, Carmens Padova, eyeliner, Hema.
