Spring Uniform, In Drawings.

What I’m Wearing Most This Spring, In Drawings Of Course!

My spring uniform this year (it’s been a cold spring!). These are the things I’ve been wearing and enjoying most. A few old favourites and some new ones. It’s finally getting a bit more sunny so hopefully I can start to wear some of my more summery favourites now.šŸ¤žā  And of course, new music from Ben Howard on constant repeat!😊

Wishing everyone a happy weekend!šŸ˜Žā

Happy King’s Day!

On This Dutch National Holiday We All Wear Orange!

Happy King’s day! Today we Dutchies celebrate our King’s birthday. For the second year the celebrationsĀ  will be a little different, meaning a lot less. Normally we would be celebrating together all day, preferably outside, and everyone would be wearing orange and eating orange snacks. AndĀ  the celebrating would already start the night before during King’s night. Hopefully next year we will be back to ‘normal’.

My Nederland illustration above, is filled with typical Dutch things.Ā  We may be a small country but there’s still a lot to love here and it’s usually very ‘gezellig’.

For my non-Dutch followers, some of the typical Dutch foods on here are (from top to bottom):Ā hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles to eat on your bread, usually for breakfast), stroopwafel (waffle filled with caramel syrup), patatje met (French fries with mayonnaise), tompoes (a very sweet pastry) and drop (salty liquorice).

Card and prints available in my Etsy shop.

Happy King’s Day!

Happy King’s day! Today we Dutchies celebrate our King’s birthday. That means: celebrating all day, preferably outside, and everything (including ourselves) in orange!
This is my “Nederland” postcard, with typical Dutch things on it. We may be a small country but there’s still a lot to love here and it’s usually very ‘gezellig’, especially on a day like today!

What I’m Wearing Most This Spring, In Drawings Of Course!

We’ve had some lovely spring weather here in the Netherlands lately and this is an illustrated recap of what I’ve been wearing (and doing) most. One of the books I’m currently reading is The little book of Hygge by Meik Wiking. I’ll definitely be making some illustrations inspired by this theme soon! And of course I’m always carrying my Dopper water bottle filled with fresh tap water to reduce my plastic waste.

Also want to reduce waste this spring?

Take a look at my low waste spring drawing here. It’s filled with simple ways to reduce waste and save energy.
