Today is Lost Sock Memorial Day, a day to remember all the socks that went mysteriously missing. What Happened? Where did they go?
I have this print framed above my washing machine and you can have it too, if you go to my Etsy shop 😉

Happy Today! I often use special days or fun holidays as inspiration for my drawings, but you really don’t need a special day to celebrate. Find something to celebrate everyday, especially on Mondays, because they can be a little tough 😉 So, happy Monday! .. and let’s celebrate whatever!

May calender page from 2 years ago, slightly updated, but I still like this look (and still wear/use most of these things). Unfortunately, the Dutch weather today is not suited for anything on here, except maybe an indoor picnic.
PS. The birthday calendar where this page is from is available in my Etsy Shop.

Yes, the weekend it’s here! Time to celebrate with a drink (or two). This is just a happy little drawing of my happy Friday mood to wish everyone a good weekend.

Hello May! A new month means time to turn to a new calendar page. This is the May illustration from my 2019 wall calendar.

Happy King’s day! Today we Dutchies celebrate our King’s birthday. That means: celebrating all day, preferably outside, and everything (including ourselves) in orange!
This is my “Nederland” postcard, with typical Dutch things on it. We may be a small country but there’s still a lot to love here and it’s usually very ‘gezellig’, especially on a day like today!
For my non-Dutch followers, some of the typical Dutch foods on here are (from top to bottom): hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles to eat on your bread, usually for breakfast), stroopwafel (waffle filled with caramel syrup), patatje met (French fries with mayonnaise), tompoes (a very sweet pastry) and drop (salty liquorice).
Card available in my Etsy shop, here.

I finally had a bit of free time to enjoy the sunny spring weather this week, with long hikes, picnics in the park and a lot of white wine 😉 This is an illustrated summary. I hope you are also having a good week!

Today is National Pajamas To Work Day, which for me is really just a regular work day. Because I work mostly from home, wearing pajames to work is never a problem 😉 In this illustration you can see some of the things that can usually be found in my work space. While working I like to listen to music or podcasts, although sometimes I like silence too. My favorite podcasts at the moment are Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, By The Book and Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness.

Today is International Plant Appreciation Day; a perfect day to give your plants some extra love! It’s also a perfect day to finally treat yourself to one of the plant prints or cards that I have available in my Etsy shop 😉

Are you ready for festival season? For the last 5 years or so I’ve been making these festival style illustrations. It’s fun to see how much my own style has changed over the years. For me, music festivals will always be all about the music, but there’s no harm in having a little fun with your outfit as well, is there? 😉 What festivals are you going to this summer? And who do you want to see perform most?
