Happy International Picnic Day! I know not everyone can do this safely at the moment and I feel very lucky to live in a place where I can enjoy one of my favorite summer activities again. I hope the same will be true for everyone soon.💚

Happy International Picnic Day! Having a picnic is one of my favourite things to do. You can find me in a park as soon as the weather allows it. Luckily, we’re having perfect weather here today, so I’m off to the park as soon as I’ve filled my picnic basket!
I’ve added several new postcard designs to my Etsy shop, including this one. Cards are €1,80 each, or buy any 5 for just €7,50 here.
Today is the first official day of summer! (at least in the Northern Hemisphere). You never know with the Dutch summer, but we have been lucky this year with already a few weeks of perfect summer weather! 🙂
These last weeks have been so cold that I was slowly turning into a sheep! My vintage shearling jacket, boots and mittens were the only clothes warm enough to keep me from freezing. Not a lot of room for fashion when temperatures drop below zero (at least not for me). Luckily I was so busy with illustration jobs that I could spend a lot of time inside with my thermos filled with tea right beside me.
Wearing: shearling jacket, wool cardigan and mittens, Vintage – jeans and tights, H&M – hat, Newyorker – boots, so old I don’t remember – thermos, Mizu.
Reading: The signature of All Things – Elizabeth Gilbert
Sketching while watching Frances Ha.
This is my plan for Valentine’s Day 2016. Not much change from last year 😉 Anyway, happy Valentine’s day everyone!

Recently I got to work with the lovely people at Harlequin again. This time to make some illustrations for the promotion of Sarah Morgan’s new book Suddenly Last Summer. Elise and Sean are the main characters in the book, and the illustrations give you a little taste of what they are like. Curious to find out more? Visit Sarah Morgan’s website here. Suddenly Last Summer is out now.
