Bye Bye 2020!!

2020, The Year We All Stayed Home.

BYE BYE 2020! This Friends TV Show inspired drawing, was my third most liked post of 2020 and I thought it was a fitting one to end the year with. ⁠

I think I made this one in March. Oh how little we knew then about how the rest of the year would be!

Hello Winter!

Today is the first official day of winter (on the Northern hemisphere that is). And although this one will be a little (or a lot) different from other years, there’s still so much to enjoy. For starters: the days will start to get longer again, hurray!! And what about candles, cozy knitwear, yummy comfort food and long winter walks followed by hot drinks? (Mulled wine is my favourite!) Winter can also be a time to recharge, find new inspiration and make plans. Are you as excited for the start of winter as I am? I would love to hear it and why.

Happy international tea day! I’m a huge tea-lover, so of course I have to celebrate this with one of my most popular illustrations. Did you know that this is actually a day to bring attention to the often poor working conditions in the tea industry? So: tea is always a good idea, but make sure you buy from tea brands that support fair trade.

This has totally changed the way I shop. I like to call it “consciously unshopping” haha.⁠ I still shop a little bit of course, but only things that I need or know I will love and use for a long time.⁠

Today is World Mental Health Day, always super important, but even more so in this crazy year. This illustration shows you some of the things that are part of my mental health/self care routine. It’s something that I, like so many others, always have to be aware of, especially during the autumn months. Know that there is help available and ask for it, if you need it. Take Care.⁠💚💚
