Happy King’s day! Today we Dutchies celebrate our King’s birthday. That means: celebrating all day, preferably outside, and everything (including yourself) in orange!
For my non-Dutch followers, some of the typical Dutch foods in here are (from top to bottom):Â tompoes (a very sweet pastry, with an orange layer especially for King’s Day), drop (salty liquorice), stroopwafel (waffle filled with caramel syrup) and hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles to eat on your bread, usually for breakfast).

Meet the Illustrator, In Drawings, Of Course!
This is my illustrated version of “Meet the Artist”. I don’t share a lot of personal stuff on social media, but this is a way to get to know a little bit more about me. As you can see I love tea (drink it all day, everyday), books, plants, thrift store shopping, making lists and plans, using my favourite art supplies, patchouli perfume and I drink rosé wine even in winter. I don’t like phone calls (I never answer because I panic!) and I hate it when I accidentally mistake my paint-water for my tea…..yuck!
