January Favourites, In Drawings.

My January Favourites, Illustrated Recap.

As you might be able to tell from this illustration, despite the lockdown and an evening clock here in the Netherlands, my January has been pretty OK and much better than my December.

Why? Let’s see:
– Getting my Vitamin D with regular muddy hikes in good company
– New music and an album coming soon from Ben Howard
-‘Conan O’brien needs a friend’ makes me laugh so much every week.
– I did 2 (very) cold water dives in the river and felt SO good afterwards
– A lovely sunny trip to the island of Brrrrr with Andrei
– A lot of chilling at home, cooking, reading, dancing, Netflix, etc with zero FOMO

How was your start of 2021? 💚

It’s The Little Things In Life..

Favorite things right now Mangomini

Small Things That Are Making Me Happy, In Drawings Of Course.

A quick sketch of some of my favourite things right now. I’m trying to shop less but better. So less impulse buys and more things that I can enjoy for a long time. I’m also looking forward to 2 more Ben Howard concerts. Money spend on experiences is always money well spend, especially if it’s Ben Howard (in my opinion anyway!) While working from home I like to listen to podcasts to keep me company and informed. I recently discovered By the book and I’ve been binge-listening ever since.

PS. Nothing on here is sponsored, just things that I really like.

Lovely Lisbon! A Portuguese Mini Break.

Things I Enjoyed Most In Portugal, Illustrated Of Course.

Last week I visited Portugal for the first time. While I was there I saw Ben Howard in concert in Lisbon (the first concert of his new tour, and my direct reason for finally visiting Portugal). Needless to say I had a wonderful time! This illustration is a small summary of some of the things I enjoyed most while I was there, an illustrated reminder for myself.

My travel read was Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. Moving and very funny!

Dutch “Summer” Outfit Drawing

"Lucky dress" Mangomini

How To Dress For The Dutch Summer (a.k.a. Cold And Rainy Weather).

I’m trying to fight off a cold by drinking lots of fresh mint and ginger tea with honey. Also, I’m eating a lot of chocolate, because that always helps as well 😉 I’m wearing my first ever Primark item (I’m not proud). I had to layer it with warm tights and a big cardigan, to stay warm enough for the Dutch summer weather. The best news is that I managed to get tickets to see Ben Howard in November, YAY!!
