Self Care Sunday, In Drawings.

Sunday is for Self Care!

Sundays are for self care!💚⁠ This quick little drawing gives you some self care ideas for your Sundays. I do all of these things myself, and not only on Sunday.

I try to start my day with a little at home yoga session. I love Yoga with Adriene on YouTube, and also try to meditate or do breathing exercises every day. While I work I listen to music of podcasts and drink lots of tea. I go hiking almost every week and always make sure that I have some evenings to myself, to enjoy my favourite Netflix show or read a book. This illustration sums it all up. I hope you find it useful!

I really love my solid shampoos and (shower) soaps (I also use them for shaving). I’ve switched to a bamboo toothbrush and cotton buds, natural deodorant and a safety razor. I also love to mix my own products using multi-purpose natural products like coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, aloe vera and jojoba oil. ⁠

Happy Earth Day! Today is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. That’s why I’m sharing another update about my journey towards low waste living, in illustrated form, of course. These are changes that I’ve personally made over the last few years to reduce my waste, especially plastic. It’s still not perfect by far but we all have to start somewhere. If everyone tries a little, together we can accomplish a lot!⁠

It also doesn’t have to be expensive. I actually buy much less now. I’m using up all old products and replacing only what I need. When I do decide to buy something I try to find high quality products that are eco-friendly and/or fair-trade, that I can really enjoy for a long time. I also love to shop vintage. ⁠

Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. What better day to think about small changes we all can make to help save the planet?⁠
This illustration is part 4 in my zero/low waste infographic series about the changes that I’ve personally made to help reduce my waste, especially plastic. This one is all about zero- or low waste bathroom swaps. I’m still not zero waste by far, but I’m constantly trying to improve. My absolute favorite low waste bathroom products are multi-purpose products, like coconut oil, jojoba oil & aloe vera gel. I also like to mix more and more products myself. More tips and ideas are always welcome.⁠💚

Happy National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day!

Today, April 16th, is National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day, which this year is a “normal” day for many. As an illustrator I’m used to working from home, so wearing pajames to work is never a problem 😉 In this illustration you can see some of the things that can usually be found in my work space. (Tea & chocolate ALWAYS!) While working I like to listen to music or podcasts. Some podcasts that I’ve been enjoying lately are Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, Happy Place and the Goop podcast. This is the spring I wish we were having. All this being stuck at home, mostly in sweatpants, is making me want to draw pretty clothes.
