Happy Easter if you’re celebrating! These are just a few of my personal favorites at the moment and have nothing to do with Easter at all. 😉

February, So Far, Illustrated.

My February Favorites, In Drawings.

Illustrated recap of my February so far. As you can see from this drawing, I have spring, and spring fashion & colors on my mind. In reality I’m mostly sticking to my trusty work uniform of blue jeans and black sweaters. I’m also becoming more and more of a plant lady and am currently trying to make sooooo many plant babies. (Let’s hope some of them survive!) In between illustration jobs I’m working on several home improvement projects. Stripping off old wallpaper and painting walls, to name just a few.

Personal Style December

This will probably be my last what I wore illustration of 2019. I haven’t made that many of these this year, because I just haven’t been buying a lot of clothes. One of my goals at the start of the year was “Less stuff, more adventures” and I really have gotten rid of so much stuff already ánd bought very little new stuff. All the items in this drawing were bought before 2019, except for the skirt (and the food of course!) As for the “more adventure”part: I did travel quite a bit this year and tried some new things. I will continue to keep this goal going into 2020, with even less (unnecessary) stuff and even more adventures!

Autumn Mood

It’s starting to feel like autumn. I always love dressing for a new season but I do hope for some more summery days! (And I’m trying really hard not to get sick.)

Throwback August Style

This is the illustration for the August page on my birthday calendar.  It’s an older one but still pretty close to my IRL beach/picnic look today.

Summer Plans

The last 2 months have been so busy that I almost forgot to make summer plans! Most days I happily spend behind my drawing desk. I also don’t have much new clothes to draw because I’m still trying to buy less and only what I really, REALLY love, preferably vintage, like some of the “old” favorites on here. If I buy something new, I have to get rid of 2 similar items, which is not always easy, but still makes me feel good about minimizing my stuff. I did get some new art supplies, which always makes me very happy! ☺️

Stay cool!

Trying to stay cool and productive during this heatwave is a real challenge! These are some of my “heatproof” favorites at the moment.

Embracing Neutrals

2019 neutrals Mangomini

I’m not much of a trend follower but I am totally embracing the neutral colour trend at the moment (yes, leopard print is a neutral!) Any trend that makes beige seem fresh and not boring is impressive, if you ask me ;)⁣
I’m also still reading ánd working on my own little Happiness Project and my 19 goals for 2019, yay!⁣

Adventure Chicken Holiday Style, Illustrated.

2019 01 gran canaria mangomini

My Solo Hiking Trip To The Canary Islands.

This is the illustrated recap of my recent solo trip to Gran Canaria. I took a small break from winter and visited the beautiful and sunny island of Gran Canaria. As you can tell from this drawing I enjoyed nature, the food and the lovely weather. I was so happy to be back in shorts and sandals. I also had some great “accidental” adventures (hence the #adventurechicken), met a lot of lovely people, slept on a beach under the stars, started a mini book club and drank quite a bit of Sangria. It was quite perfect! For now it’s back to work, but I can’t wait to go back to the beautiful Canary Islands!

Ps. The mini book club had 2 members who were both reading Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman at the same time; A perfect holiday read, I enjoyed it very much!
