Organic And Local Products, Illustrated.Recently I was asked to illustrate and design a postcard for Gedeelde Weelde, my city’s local food cooperative & café for daily groceries. The name of the shop means shared wealth in Dutch and all their products are local, fair trade, organic or sustainable. I filled the card with cute, hand drawn food and drink items, and it’s available for sale there. You can also find a selection of my other illustrated cards in this lovely shop. Tea Is Always A Good Idea, Illustrated.Happy International Tea Day! If you follow my illustrations you might already have noticed that I’m a huge tea-lover. So of course I have to celebrate this special day. It’s actually a day to bring attention to the often poor working conditions in the tea industry. So: tea is always a good idea, but make sure you buy from tea brands that support fair trade!

Today is Eat What You Want Day, and for me that looks something like this. These are some of my favorite foods that I could eat every day, and probably would if it wasn’t so unhealthy to do so. But this day was created to, for 1 day, just forget a little bit about being healthy all the time and treat yourself, even if your favorite foods aren’t the healthiest.
Happy Today! I often use special days or fun holidays as inspiration for my drawings, but you really don’t need a special day to celebrate. Find something to celebrate everyday, especially on Mondays, because they can be a little tough 😉 So, happy Monday! .. and let’s celebrate whatever!

Happy homemade soup day! With the cold winter weather and so many people down with a cold or flu, it’s a perfect day for some healthy and tasty homemade soup. I made these “Get well soup” cards especially for The Broth Bar in Maastricht. They serve delicious, organic, healthy, home made broth and soup (also to-go) for when you don’t have time to make it yourself. Lots of gluten free and vegan options too!
