What I Wore, Then & Now, Part 3.

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now. Part 3.

This is the third time I’ve taken an older What I Wore drawing, and updated it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. They were favorites then for a reason!

Above is the updated version of the illustration for the June page on my birthday calendar. Below the original drawing. This outfit is so “me” that I would still wear everything, except maybe the bikini top. I also drew a lipstick on the original one, that I don’t actually wear. In the new version I replaced it with a berry freestyle tint from The Body Shop, and the ring (I never wear any anymore) with earrings and piercings. I also choose my Pizza for President tote bag for this one, another long time favorite.

Just a few small changes this time, but which version do you prefer? Also, If you like this you might like to follow me on Instagram and Pinterest forΒ  more regular updates, or shop my illustrated postcards and other papergoods on Etsy.

Happy Little Things!😍

2023 06 Random things Cindy Mangomini

Random Things That Caught My Eye.

Little things that I like at the moment, and felt like drawing.

In case you’re wondering: the tea is the Rose Garden tea from Sostrene Grene, my absolute favorite at the moment. My Teva’s need to be replaced and I love the color combo on this pair. There’s also baguette and cheese because they are forever favorites and Picnic Season is here. The strawberry is on it because I love them and I’m growing them myself again this year. The hand painted plate I found onΒ Etsy. Sadly I don’t know where the tote bag is from. I came across it on Pinterest with no info. If you know, please let me know.

Wishing everyone a happy month, with lots of things, people and experiences that make you feel happy! ❀️

What I Wore, Then & Now, Part 2.

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now. Part 2.

I thought it would be fun to take and older What I Wore drawing, and update it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. (They were  favorites then for a reason.)

So above is the updated version of the illustration for the May page on my birthday calendar. I replaced the white embroidered top with a black embroidered blouse. I mostly wear black tops now, because I think it looks better with my chestnut hair (almost ginger really). The sunglasses broke, so I replaces them. Everything else I still use and wear, including one of my favorite vintage straw bags that I love for picnics. The clogs I actually never owned but still love and would like to wear.πŸ˜‰β

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now.

I thought it would be fun to take and older What I Wore drawing, and update it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. (They weren’t favorites then for no reason.)

So above is the updated version of the illustration for the April page on my birthday calendar. I replaced the stripes with an all black top (I’m over my stripey faze) and switched to a more practical backpack. I own many nice bags, but I almost never use them anymore because my backpack is just so much more comfortable and practical. I still love the denim skirt and my Converse All Stars.

2021 Random things I like right now Mangomini Pin

Random Things That I’m Loving This June.

Sometimes it’s the small things that make everyday life a little happier. This is an illustration of random things that I like at the moment and felt like drawing.πŸ–ŒοΈ The Teva sandals and C&A bikini top are made with recycled materials and that makes me love them even more.β πŸ’š The Polka dot crop top is from H&M. I don’t own the fashion items in this drawing. I just find them pretty and enjoyed drawing them.

April Favourites, Illustrated.

2021 04 April favorite things Mangomini

Things I Enjoyed Most In April, In Drawings.

Since it’s already the last day of April, it’s a good time for a look at some of my favorite things this month, in illustrated form of course.Β  I did a lot of hiking & picnicking, had a sunny kayak adventure and added lots of new little plants to my growing collection. This whole outfit is from Monki. The pants took such a long time to draw, but I do love them so it had to be done πŸ˜‰ I also love that the t-shirt and tote bag are made from organic cotton and the packaging was completely plastic-free. Β

Other things that I still loved this month, but already included in my March favorites, are Ben Howard’s new album and live stream concert and cold water swimming.

Little Things That Make Me Happy

Finding Joy In The Little Things In Life, In March.

Time for my March favorites! This is a drawing of all the little things that were making me happy in March. Nothing made me happier last month (or this month!) than new music from Ben Howard! In fact, in less than 2 hours I’ll be watching his live stream concert so please do not disturb around that time.😬
Other things that I loved about March included my regular cold water dips in the river, a lot of picnicking (plus a lot @mr.moonen_wijnhandel wine) and, of course, my plants!🌱
I hope you also had a good month and are having a happy & healthy April so far! Have a lovely day! β πŸ’š
