Festival Style Must-Haves, In Drawings.

How to get festival season ready 2016 update - Cindy Mangomini

Festival Fashion Essentials For 2016, Illustrated.

Summer means festival season and these are my festival must-haves. This is an updated version of an illustrated how-to that I did for Hello Giggles in 2014. I’ve made it a little bit more ‘2016’.

As a regular festival-goer (In Europe) I recommend as absolute essentials: layering for when it gets colder in the evening, comfortable shoes or boots, SPF, dry shampoo, all-in-one wipes and a small rain poncho. If you have these basics covered you can go crazy with your festival accessories!

Spring favorites, so far.

2016 spring uniform - Cindy Mangomini

Yes! The sunny part of spring has finally started in my city and I’ll be off to the park soon. But these have been my spring favorites for the more wintry part of the Dutch spring.

Wearing: boyfriend blazer, Newyorker – dress and tights, H&M – bracelet, Ala – bag, vintage – berry liptint, Maybelline –  nail polish, Catrice – shoes, Carmens.

Dreaming of Summer

2016 Dreaming of summer - Cindy Mangomini

I’m longing for summer and this is what I want to be wearing to a lovely picnic in the park. But, no such luck with the Dutch spring. It’s more wool sweaters, extra socks and staying inside to escape the rain, wind and even snow! Luckily, I can always draw a sunny scene!

Sneak peek!

2016 April - Cindy Mangomini

One of the things I’m working on at the moment is a birthday calender. Here’s a little sneak peek at what will be the illustration for April.

March, so far: cold & wet.

2016 march - Cindy Mangomini

March has been very cold and very wet so far, but I’m trying to enjoy it anyway. Tea and chocolate (home made brownies, yummie!) always help, and a little alcohol also doesn’t hurt 😉

Wearing: cardigan, vintage – top, Newyorker -nailpolish, Catrise – denim dress, H&M – shoes, Carmens Padova, eyeliner, Hema.

February favorites

2016 february favorites - Cindy Mangomini

Hi everyone! I’ve been very busy with a few new projects, so I haven’t posted in a while. But here is a look at what have been my February favorites. More to come soon!

Wearing: jacket, Mango – mittens, bra and tights, H&M – scarf, Vero Moda -dress, Clockhouse – shoes, vintage – bracelet, Ala – little purse, ZestyNotion (on Etsy)

Back to Winter.

2016 back to winter - Cindy Mangomini

After a sunny holiday, a week of FREEZING cold, now it’s finally a reasonable temperature again. This means I can wear normal winter clothes again instead of millions of layers! It’s also perfect weather to hide under a blanket with a good book. I’m reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert at the moment, very inspiring!

Wearing: “lucky” bracelet, Anna+Nina – jacket, Mango – cap and mittens, H&M – jeans, Zara – Gel eyeliner, Bobbi Brown – top, vintage

Winter Break

2016 Fuerteventura - Cindy Mangomini

Here’s a second (and final) illustration about my sunny winter getaway to Fuerteventura, before I go back to winter. I had such a good time there: the weather! the people! the yoga! the food! the cocktails!! I wish I could go back there right now, because it’s just too cold here!

Draw me like one of your French girls

How to be Parisien part3 - Cindy Mangomini

I’m back from a sun-filled winter break on Fuerteventura, where I met many lovely people.  Among them where Margot & Youna, two real Parisian girls. They were só stylish and cool that I just had to draw them! I know this is already my 3rd Parisian-themed illustration, but hey: pourquoi pas?
