Hello Autumn! (In Drawings)

How To Enjoy Autumn, Illustrated Inspiration Guide.

Happy first day of autumn! (On the northern hemisphere). I love autumn (or fall, depending on where you live)! It’s the cosiest season (in my opinion). I look forward to long walks followed by hot drinks (mulled wine season!), dinner parties, game nights and reading under a warm blanket (to name a few). I tried to include all my favorite things about autumn in this drawing. What are your plans for fall?

Autumn leaves

Are you ready for fall? It’s starting to feel more and more like it and, although I will miss summer, I do love autumn. It’s just the coziest season, don’t you think?

Autumn Mood

It’s starting to feel like autumn. I always love dressing for a new season but I do hope for some more summery days! (And I’m trying really hard not to get sick.)

What I Wore: Festival Look.

I’ve been super busy with work lately. I haven’t had much time to update my social media (or to go outside really). Except for one very sunny festival day last Saturday where this was my festival look.

Expectations vs Reality: French Holiday Style.

French Holiday Style And Adventures! In Drawings, Of Course.

Above an illustrated recap of my recent trip to Northern France. Below you can see the (very stylish and sunny) picture I had in my mind before going. Here now, is the more realistic “after” version. The weather was pretty bad (no bikini needed) and the trip certainly had some challenges (including being stranded hours away from our apartment at night, and no taxi willing to pick us up) but the bread, wine and cheeses were so delicious it made up for a lot and almost made us forget about the rain!

Expectations:

Above you can see how I envisioned my French Holiday style. In reality no bikini or aftersun was needed. Raincoat instead.

More Expectations:

We hand planned to be in the water a lot and to try Stand Up Paddling.  In reality: zero time spend in the sea because of the bad weather.

Tool Time

I started making this illustration of my favourite art supplies about two years ago and then, halfway through, completely forgot about it. Today I found it again and finally finished it! I initially started making this because I got a lot of questions about what products I use to make my illustrations. Often I get asked what apps I use. No apps, it’s al hand made! I mostly use products from Faber-Castell or Royal Talens.

Happy Thrift Shop Day!

Happy Thrift Shop Day! Thrift store shopping is so much fun because you never know what kind of unique treasures you might find. Buying used items instead of new ones is also good for the environment ánd your budget; a real win-win-win situation!

Throwback August Style

This is the illustration for the August page on my birthday calendar.  It’s an older one but still pretty close to my IRL beach/picnic look today.

Lazy Day!

It’s Lazy Day today! Probably the easiest “special day” to celebrate and a perfect excuse to take a break and enjoy some precious “me” time without feeling guilty about it, so enjoy your lazy day! xx
