Here is a “portrait” of one of my friends, who is a real “more is more’ type of girl: very colorful, with big hair, a big heart and big personality! She like bold prints, bright colors, polka dots and vintage elements. Happy New Year!! I love January because it marks a fresh start full of new ideas, adventures, plans and goals. In 2019 I want to continue to live a more minimalistic life with less stuff and less waste. I want to stay creative and productive, learn some new skills, travel, read more books and stay healthy.  And I also want to enjoy myself while doing all these things of course! I haven’t been posting many new illustrations because I’m working hard on finishing my 2019 calendar (and enjoying the summer weather!). It will be available in my Etsy shop in September.

This drawing shows one of my favorite, simple summer fashion looks. I love high waisted A-line skirts, a high-neck crop top, a cute straw bag and comfy sandals. Then, add some vintage, bohemian style accessories and a glass of Sangria and I’m happy as can be.

Things I Enjoyed Most In Portugal, Illustrated Of Course.

Last week I visited Portugal for the first time. While I was there I saw Ben Howard in concert in Lisbon (the first concert of his new tour, and my direct reason for finally visiting Portugal). Needless to say I had a wonderful time! This illustration is a small summary of some of the things I enjoyed most while I was there, an illustrated reminder for myself.

My travel read was Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. Moving and very funny!
