Today is Warm Sweater Day, a Dutch national initiative that draws attention to saving energy. If we all become more aware of the energy that we use, we can help protect the environment. So today (and why not every day?) turn down the heating a little, put on your favourite warm sweater and save energy. Extra points for wearing a vintage sweater! 😉 #warmetruiendag

A quick sketch of some of my favourite things right now. I’m trying to shop less but better. So less impulse buys and more things that I can enjoy for a long time. I’m also looking forward to 2 more Ben Howard concerts. Money spend on experiences is always money well spend, especially if it’s Ben Howard (in my opinion anyway!) While working from home I like to listen to podcasts to keep me company and informed. I recently discovered By the book and I’ve been binge-listening ever since.

As promised a while ago, here’s a small update on what I’m doing to live a more low-waste and minimal life. This past year I’ve slowly been using up all the products I already own and when I finish a product I first ask myself: do I really need it? If I feel I do, I try to look for a natural DIY recipe online. If that’s not available I try to buy a plastic free version of the product that I’m replacing. It’s not perfect and not always possible, but it feels good to try. I think if everyone tries a little, together we can achieve a lot. Hopefully another update soon!

I’m totally obsessed with Queer Eye at the moment. Luckily I’m not the only one, so I can always find friends to share my obsession with. We can talk about the show and every YouTube video we can find about it, for hours and hours. We also love to share our favourite quotes from the fab 5. We especially love this one. So much, that I turned it into a postcard. You can find it in my Etsy shop here.

The start of a new season is a chance for a fresh start. This is my personal action plan for spring from last year, which I slightly updated for spring 2015.
While my paint for another illustration was drying, I decided to draw everything I carry around in my purse (just to kill the waiting time). Because, why not?
