Hello May!

2018 mei kalender Mangomini

Things To Do, Wear & Enjoy In May, Illustrated.

Hello May! A new month, a new calendar page. And even though this illustration was made almost one year ago, it’s still pretty close to what I’m wearing and doing most at the moment. I tend to stick more and more to simple basics, paired with cute shoes and accessories. I’ve also turned into a real plant lady, and that’s also starting to show in my work.

Scandinavian winter

Scandinavian Winter-Lagom-Mangomini

This week’s illustration for Hello Giggles was inspired by the book Lagom by Linnea Dunne, about the secrets of the Swedish art of balanced living. “Lagom” doesn’t really translate, but means something like “not to0 little, not too much, just right”. I really loved reading this book full of nice tips and recipes, all in Scandinavian style (which I LOVE).

Scandinavian Style

Scandinavian style - Cindy Mangomini

I made this illustration for the launch of Oh! You Pretty Things Magazine. I was asked by the magazine’s editor in chief  (and über-stylish fashion photographer) Youna Baupoux to illustrate my idea of typical Scandinavian style. Just click here to read the oh-so pretty magazine!

End Of Summer Wish-List

End of summer wishlist-Mangomini

One Of Each Please! My End Of Summer Wish List Favorites, In Drawings.

I love making lists, especially “action plans” and wish-lists. As an illustrator, I live on a small budget. I find that making a wish-list every season helps me make better shopping decisions. I hardly ever buy anything on impulse. This is my end-of-summer-wish-list.

Two of the items on my list I found on Etsy. The vintage leather tote and the fox phone case. You can also buy my prints there, just go to my shop.

If you like this you can also follow me on Instagram and Pinterest for regular updates.
