My Version of Empties, Illustrated Of Course!

My Illustrated Empties. Things I Loved Enough To Use Up.

I’ve been seeing a lot of “empties” posts lately—where people share their used-up products and thoughts on them. It usually involves skincare products and makeup, and I really enjoy seeing them. So, here is my own version of an “empties” round-up—illustrated, of course. These are a few products I liked enough to finish.

P.S. I made this with Procreate to save time, which is new for me. Usually, I do everything analog: pen, ink, pencil, paint, etc. I hope that by practicing my digital drawing skills, I’ll have time to create more new work and update here more frequently. Let’s see how that works out 🙃.

For now, I hope you enjoy seeing my empties (do let me know!). See you soon! 💛

Happy Little Things!😍

These Are Some Of The Small Things That Are Making Me Happy At The Moment.

I´ve illustrated some of my current favorite little things, that I´m wearing or using all the time. Some are new and some are old favorites.

In case you’re wondering: the earrings are from a local shop, the tiny tagine is from Sostrene Grene, the led candle from Xenos, watch from Casio, handbag and mittens are vintage finds, wool socks from a local market, plate and mug from IKEA, tote bag was a gift and the sandals are Birkenstock.

Wishing everyone a happy December, with lots of things, people and experiences that make you feel happy! ❤️

Summer Day Style 2024, In Drawings, Of Course.

The Things I Can’t Get Enough Of This Summer.

After many months of mostly rain, summer days are finally here…Yay! This is an illustration of some of my favorite items, that I wear and consume all the time. I love being on, in and near the water so my mismatched bikini is one of my most worn items. While I’m doing these water activities I usually bring food for a small picnic. This always includes a fresh baguette, a few cheeses and a bottle of rosé wine. I still adore this vintage picnic bag that I bought for almost nothing, years ago.

I hope you’re also enjoying the sunny weather! I will try to update here a little bit more often, but I can’t make any promises.😉

What I Wore, Then & Now, Part 7.

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now. Part 7.

This is the seventh time I’ve taken an older What I Wore drawing, and updated it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. They were favorites then for a reason!

Above is the updated version of the illustration for the November page on my birthday calendar. Below the original drawing.

I still own all of the clothing items on here, although I haven’t worn the cardigan and boots for a while. But I still love them and am keeping them for later. At the moment I’m wearing my cold-shoulder sweater a lot and when I’m not wearing sneakers I like a platform boot with a little bit of a block-heel.

Then there’s a coffee-confession: I love drawing coffee related items such as the peculator, but in reality at home I drink instant latte macchiato.😳 I’m not proud!

A few other new favorites, including my retro Casio watch and Hemp lip balm from The Body Shop. Which version do you prefer?

What I Wore, Then & Now, Part 6.

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now. Part 6.

This is the sixth time I’ve taken an older What I Wore drawing, and updated it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. They were favorites then for a reason!

Above is the updated version of the illustration for the September page on my birthday calendar. Below the original drawing.

I still love this dress and the bag. I’ve added my favorite sandals, added new (vintage) sunglasses, my favorite silver hoop earrings and added a few little cactus planst that are growing fast this summer. Small changes this time, but which version do you prefer?

What I Wore, Then & Now, Part 5.

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now. Part 5.

This is the fifth time I’ve taken an older What I Wore drawing, and updated it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. They were favorites then for a reason!

Above is the updated version of the illustration for the August page on my birthday calendar. Below the original drawing. I honesty still own all these items, I just haven’t worn the flip flops for a long time. So, what I updated here are mostly the accessories and the food & drinks that are my current favorites to bring to a summer picnic. Which version do you prefer?

What I Wore, Then & Now, Part 4.

What I Wore (In Drawings) And How I Wear It Now. Part 4.

This is the fourth time I’ve taken an older What I Wore drawing, and updated it to how I wear it now. Because, believe it or not, I still own many of the pieces I drew years ago. They were favorites then for a reason!

Above is the updated version of the illustration for the July page on my birthday calendar. Below the original drawing. This is an outfit that I still wear, although the sandals eventually didn’t survive all the long walks I did in them and needed to be replaced, with similar sandals. I also added my current favorite sunglasses. I still have the old ones, but don’t wear them much at the moment.

Just a few changes this time, but which version do you prefer? Also, If you like this you might like to follow me on Instagram and Pinterest for  more regular updates, or shop my illustrated postcards and other papergoods on Etsy.
