Today 50 years ago, Valley of the Dolls first came out. It became a best-seller and a classic almost instantly. To celebrate this 50th anniversary I was one of the artists asked by Sparknotes to design new cover art for the book.
I designed 1 cover for each of the main characters: Neely, Jennifer and Anne. To see all the designs just click here.

After a sunny holiday, a week of FREEZING cold, now it’s finally a reasonable temperature again. This means I can wear normal winter clothes again instead of millions of layers! It’s also perfect weather to hide under a blanket with a good book. I’m reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert at the moment, very inspiring!
Wearing: “lucky” bracelet, Anna+Nina – jacket, Mango – cap and mittens, H&M – jeans, Zara – Gel eyeliner, Bobbi Brown – top, vintage

I’m back from a sun-filled winter break on Fuerteventura, where I met many lovely people. Among them where Margot & Youna, two real Parisian girls. They were só stylish and cool that I just had to draw them! I know this is already my 3rd Parisian-themed illustration, but hey: pourquoi pas?

Sometimes it’s not the big things but rather the small things in life that can bring the most joy. Here is a drawing of some of the small things that I’m loving this winter!
