How to be Parisian (sort of)

How to be Parisian-Cindy Mangomini

This illustration was inspired by the book How to be Parisian, wherever you are, and by the style of some of my favorite French fashion bloggers. Like everyone else, I secretly want to be Parisian too!

January favorites so far

January favorites- Mangomini

It’s cold outside and I’m keeping warm with some new and some (rediscovered) old favorites. Besides from working I have spent January (so far) with trying to get healthy again, reading books, drinking tea and a lot of vintage shopping.

Wearing: underwear, H&M – boots, Steve Madden – bag, vintage – beanie hat, H&M – ear studs, TessaRandi – coat, vintage – skinny jeans, Circle of Trust. The gloves are so old I don’t remember where I got them.

Reading:  The land of painted caves – Jean M. Auel

The Dutch “summer”

"Lucky dress" Mangomini

I’m trying to fight off a cold by drinking lots of fresh mint and ginger tea with honey. Also, I’m eating a lot of chocolate, because that always helps as well 😉 I’m wearing my first ever Primark item (I’m not proud). I had to layer it with warm tights and a big cardigan, to stay warm enough for the Dutch summer weather. The best news is that I managed to get tickets to see Ben Howard in November, YAY!!

Time for books and drinks

What I wore by MangominiAn after work drink with a friend, followed by some quiet reading time. I’ve just started reading “Perfume” (Kurt Cobain’s favorite book).

Sleigh Bells In The Snow..

Sarahs favorite things web

Here’s an illustration I made for Harlequin Books, for the US/Canada launch of Sarah Morgan‘s new book “Sleigh bells in the snow”. It’s a collage of Sarah’s favorite things for the winter holiday season, and it makes me look forward to lots of snow!
